Job Title: Accountant

Management Training and Advisory Centre (MTAC) is a body corporate under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives; established initially as an ILO/UNDP/GOU Project in 1964 and later, by an Act of Parliament Cap. 29 of 1969. It was established, among other things, to promote industrial and enterprise development.

Job Summary: The Accountant will primarily be responsible for planning and control of the financial resources of the Centre in accordance with established policies, systems and procedures to enable the Centre meet its financial obligations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

  • The applicant should preferably hold an honour’s Degree in any of these areas; Bachelor of Business Administration BBA, B.COM, Economics, Majoring in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of Level 11 of either ACCA or CPA.
  • At least three years’ experience in accounts work in a reputable organization.
  • At least 1 year of teaching/training in a higher education institution is a requirement.
  • Proficiency in accounting packages: ERP-Tally is a requirement.
