Accommodation: Halls of Residence at Makerere University

Lumumba Hall at Makerere university

Accommodation at Makerere University.  There are six halls of residence for male students and three for female students at Makerere university.

Each student is admitted to the membership of one of the Halls of residence.

Each Fresher has accordingly been attached to a Hall of Residence as indicated on the admission letter issued.

Accommodation in the Halls is for one year and renewable. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served to all resident students in each hall at a specified time.

Female Halls of Residence  include;

  • Africa Hall
  • Complex Hall
  • Mary Stuart Hall

Male Halls of Residence include;

  • Livingstone Hall
  • Lumumba Hall
  • Nkurumah Hall
  • Nsibirwa Hall
  • Mitchell Hall

Those students who do not get accommodation on campus may report to the Office of the Dean of Students, Makerere university for allocation to University affiliated hostels for accommodation or other hostels not affiliated to University.
