Job Title:  Cashier

Global Health Uganda (GHU) is a registered not for profit, limited liability company involved in facilitating collaborative research especially in the area of brain injury and neurodevelopment. The organization subcontracts and manages research grants.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for the day to day routine payments from the head office and manage the Logistical functions of the same.
  • Keep accurate official records of all financial transactions and payments to and from the head office.
  • Be in charge of petty cash handling and disbursement.
  • Participate in the procurement function of all projects and user departments including maintaining a procurement tracking system
  • Ensure the approved procurement guidelines are followed at all the different procurement stages
  • Monitor and ensure the asset registers of the different projects are kept up to date by the department heads
  • Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

  • All candidates should have a business degree in Commerce, Business Administration,
  • Accounting, Procurement and Supply Chain Management or any related field from a recognized institution.
  • The applicant should have relevant working experience from a reputable institution/organization for at least 3 years.
  • He/she should also have a high level of honesty, integrity and accountability.
  • He/she should be computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft and some accounting packages such as Quick books.
  • Working knowledge of international best practices in the Logistics processes and systems is and added advantage.
