Cairo Bank Uganda Limited was incorporated on 11th July, 1994.  The Bank was formerly known as Cairo International Bank owned by the three leading Egyptian Banks namely; Banque Du Caire, Bank Misr and National Bank of Egypt.  In 2019, it became a fully owned subsidiary of Banque Du Caire (BDC). The shareholder consolidation in 2019 was on the back of expanding its presence across Africa whilst providing an entry point into the COMESA market.

Job Summary:  The E-Banking Administrator will ensure secure functionality of the Bank’s electronic services delivery channels such as ATMs, Online Banking (TCIB/TCMB) and computer applications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle the configurations and installation of the E-Banking products’ interfaces with the bank’s core systems and the customer’s sites.
  • Develop and Champion new optional Utilities that can be provided over the existing E-banking products infrastructure.
  • Assist the I.T staff with the In-house training of other staff on e-Banking products
  • Assist application users in identifying and describing problems or opportunities that need to be addressed.
  • Advise Management on the best monitoring tools for the E-banking products to ensure their uptime.
  • Follow up with the E-banking product Hardware and Software contractors in problem resolution as per the agreed contract response time to ensure a healthy status.
  • Carry out Disaster Recovery tests for the E-Banking bank’s systems.
  • Design and develop user manuals and corresponding training programs for new and existing systems.
  • To prepare, in consultation with users, implementers, and operation representatives the acceptance plan for any newly changed system
  • Assist Business Unit leader to develop tactical and strategic products, services and/or programs to support the business unit’s goals
  • Work closely with the business partners to identify and maximize opportunities to use Information Technology to improve product service and /or program business processes.
  • Run End of Day, End of Month and End of year operations

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related computing field
  • Microsoft, Linux or Unix certifications are an added advantage.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Systems Administration preferably in a financial institution
  • A proper end-of-a-cycle running for systems
  • Preparing system reports in terms of system failures and downtime statistics
  • Analytical and Critical skills
  • Development of systems solutions for operational problems for back-office application users.
