Reports to: Estate Maintenance and Fleet Supervisor

Job Summary:  The incumbent will provide secure and timely transportation services of clinic personnel and patients (Ambulance Driver)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles in line with assigned work plan, approvals and timelines.
  • Ensure safe travel for personnel to and from predetermined destinations.
  • Maintain vehicle equipment in good condition, including first aid boxes, warning triangles, jerks, and wheel spanners.
  • Perform periodical safety and maintenance checks to ensure proper functioning of the vehicle.
  • Perform minor repair works during functioning problems, and follow the clinic’s motor vehicle SOPs for all minor and major maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness and servicing schedules are maintained.
  • Communicate any vehicle incidents to the Fleet and Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner and in adherence to the Hospital’s motor vehicle policies and SOP.
  • Ensure compliance with the hospital’s motor vehicle policies, health safety and security guidelines as well as adhering to traffic laws etc…

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold an A’ level certificate
  • Clean Driver’s License
  • At least two years of experience operating a similar vehicle.
