Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure compliance matters around all regulatory and legal requirements for the Flexi products and services and support on engagements to regulators and partners on the platform such as telcos and the vendor on stipulated frequencies. The combined assurance officer will also develop these relationships to establish an efficient and robust operating model.
  • Support interactions with key stakeholders to the platform and ensure all reporting standards are met
  • Ensure regulatory reporting as per the specified frequencies, collectively report on all regulatory, legal and compliance risks and control
  • Enforce the unit’s mandate, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring of compliance of partners’ SLAs with the unit
  • Drafting lessons learnt for sharing with the Flexi team.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the Stanbic Bank Officer, Combined Assurance – Flexipay job must hold a University Degree from a recognised University
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Banking and Risk management (Compliance, Legal and Regulatory).
  • Sound and thorough knowledge of the Bank’s risk management policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Compliance, Legal and Regulatory and Market Risks as well as compliance.
  • Broad knowledge of the applicable Acts and Bank manuals.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment governing financial services.
