Grilling season is here! I’ve gathered some of the best holiday/weekend barbecue ideas and recipes to share with you guys so you’re prepared to make the most of the season. Decide what to make for dinner tonight with these easy grill recipes (burgers, chicken, steaks, and more), along with some grilling essentials and tips!

The word barbecue comes from the language of a Caribbean Indian tribe called the Taino. Their word for grilling on a raised wooden grate is barbacoa.

The word first appeared in print in a Spanish explorer’s account of the West Indies in 1526, according to Planet Barbecue. A meal or gathering at which meat, fish, or other food is cooked out of doors on a rack over an open fire or on a special appliance.

Barbecue / Barbeque means to roast or broil (food, such as meat) on a rack or revolving spit over or before a source of heat (such as hot coals, hot charcoal or a gas flame).

Ingredients May Include

Beef/chicken/fresh fish

Onions

Tomatoes

Garlic

Salt to taste

Any other spices like pepper, masala etc

Heat e.g. charcoal, coal, gas, oven, firewood etc

Tips For Making Barbeque

1- Prepare your ingredients ahead of time.

2- Get your marinade ready.

3- Skewer cubed meat and chicken.

4- Clean your grill.

5- Start grilling.

6- Serve hot with sauce of choice and salads.
