The University of Nairobi has been ranked the 7^th best institution in Africa 2020 by the African Exponent.

On 20^th/February 2020, by the African Exponent issued a list of the top 10 universities in Africa where University of Nairobi appeared to be the 7^th best institution in Africa on the list.

The University of Nairobi was the only University from East Africa and Kenya to appear on the list that was issued.

Universities where ranked basing on;

1. It Being chartered, licensed and accredited by the appropriate higher education-related organization in each country
2. Offering at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees)
3. Delivering courses predominantly in a traditional, face-to-face, non-distance education format
