Job Tittle: Information and Technology (IT) Officer
Job Summary: The Information and Technology (IT) Officer will be the lead person in analysis, alignment and integration of core business processes of the Corporation. He/She shall be responsible for packaging efficient and user friendly information that shall be utilised by all the stakeholders of the Corporation. He/She shall understand core business process alignment and integration so as to make recommendations for automation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· The IT Officer will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP);
· Manage information systems contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems;
· Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks;
· Control computer systems budgets and expenditure;
· Maintaining a short response time to technology related call-outs/ queries;
· Provide orientation, training and individual support to users on request;
· Trouble shoot all technology related issues;
· Offer technical support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
· Support the roll-out of new applications and services;
· Monitor security of all technology;
· Network administration and installation;
· Support the Corporations web-based applications such as e-banking, e-tax and e-commerce.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The IT Officer should possess a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a recognised institution specialising in Information System Analysis, Design and Programming;
· Practical experience of at least 5 years in management and maintenance of ERP systems;
· Demonstrable Innovation and Creativity with clear understanding of the SDLC methodology;
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
· Ability to meet strict deadlines under minimum supervision.
