UGANET is a registered, non-for profit, social Justice and law organization that champions human rights, and gender equality work in the context of HIV/AIDS and Health. UGANET with support from TASO is seeking to recruit vibrant, competent and committed individuals to fill vacant positions for Communications specialist, Communications officer and Legal Officer
Position: Legal Officer (1)
Location: Kampala
Duration: 18 Months and subject to renewal based on availability funds. .
Skills:
• Excellent communication skills,
• knowledge of other languages and experience in community work is of an added advantage.
• He/she should have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft word, PowerPoint, excel and publisher
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Law from an accredited Institution together with a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice;
• MUST be an Enrolled Advocate of the High Court with a VALID Practicing Certificate.
• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in legal practice/ Court room experience
• at least one year’s experience in provision of Legal Aid Services either as a regular staff or Volunteer with a reputable Legal aid service provider.
