Job Summary: The Business Support Assistant (Fleet) will deliver standard business support processes for a specific professional area of work, to facilitate effective service delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the management of drivers and their scheduling and light vehicle fleet inspection and management;
- Resolve drivers’ issues, including the mechanical aspect of the vehicles, fuel, repair, maintenance etc;
- Manage the Fleet wave FMS (a WFP Fleet Management database) to optimise fleet management through recording, monitoring/reporting and coordination with field offices;
- Process purchase requisitions and ensure timely payment to fleet related vendors;
- Generate vehicle performance reports and data analyses and come up with /results-Oriented solutions and recommendations;
- Facilitate vehicle maintenance in garages to ensure comprehensive maintenance and repair works at prices as per the contracts provisions;
- Assist with routine unit activities;
- Perform any other related assignment as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the United Nations UN World Food Programme (WFP) Business Support Assistant (Fleet) job placement should hold a Diploma in any of the following areas: General Administration, Public Administration, Fleet management or related field;
- At least three years of experience in a busy organisation performing administrative functions preferably in fleet management;
- Experience in managing specialised databases;
- Proficiency in both oral and written English
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Applications
