The ministry health financial report for 2017/2018 put the Kampala International University (KIU) teaching hospital among the best health teaching hospitals in Uganda.

The hospital based at the Kampala International University (KIU) Western Campus, in Ishaka, Bushenyi was among the top four (4) best referral hospitals in the country.

KIU management praised the hospital authorities for their remarkable efforts at raising the university flag.

“The KIU community would like to congratulate KIU teaching hospital for attaining the 4th rank among the best referral hospitals in the country. We have also been recognized as the best hospital in Western Uganda,” KIU posted on Facebook.

The teaching hospital has medical and dental licenses from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Some of the services offered at the hospital include; general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, dental surgery and physiotherapy with five operating theaters.
