Public Lecture by H.E John Kufuor on Oil Management

Makerere university is at the climax of the year-long celebrations to mark 90 years of existence.

Makerere university will today host H.E John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor to deliver a public lecture under the theme

“Oil Resource Management and its utilization for Economic Transformation – The Case of Ghana”

Main Hall, Main Administration Building, Makerere University, Kampala Uganda.
Time: Friday, 2 August 2013 – 2:00pm to 6:00pm

H.E. John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor is revered as a symbol of modern democracy in Africa. A former President of The Republic of Ghana, he is credited actualizing the Nation’s oil prospects and enacting extraction and management laws for the Ghanian Oil and Gas sector.

H.E. Kufuor is therefore one of the leaders responsible for transforming Ghana into one of the World’s fastest growing economies.

Since Uganda is framing her Oil and Gas legislation, the Public Lecture will provide a point of reference to the nation and fulfill some of the country’s desires for equitable and transparent utilization of the oil resource.
