Nkumba University is searching for  a new Vice Chancellor. The contract of Prof.Paul Edward Mugambi expired on 18th December last year.  Prof. Mugambi is currently serving as an acting Vice Chancellor.

The university appointing authority requested him to continue serving until the 19th of June 2013 as they prepare to fill the gap. Sources reveal that by 20th June, Nkumba University will have a new Vice Chancellor installed.

Prof. Mugambi took over from the founding Vice Chancellor of Nkumba University, Late Prof. Sentaza William Kajubi in 2008.

The new Vice Chancellor to be installed will be the third person to serve in the same capacity ever since Nkumba university started in 1994.
