Job Summary: The Sanitation & Hygiene Coordinator (SHC) will be in charge of capacity building and providing technical support to Sanitation and Hygiene Facilitators to promote WASH and overcome water-related poverty.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assesses family sanitation and hygiene status.
· Leads, trains, teams of SHFs/VHTs.
· Actively supports WASH technical to build the capacity of WSSCs, Pump mechanics.
· Takes part in in baselines and evaluations.
· Works towards integrated WASH contributions.
· The incumbent steers fortnight planning and review sessions with SHFs/VHTs in assigned areas.
· Rewards households and communities that achieve set WASH criteria.
· Ensures gender equity on water committees
· Actively contributes towards regular program reporting.
Qualifications
· The Sanitation & Hygiene Coordinators should preferably hold higher Diplomas or its equivalent e.g. in water resource management, public health, early child development, or related fields.
· Skilled at development facilitation at grassroots.
· The applicant must be committed Christian able to be a role model for SHFs/VHTs and partner communities.
· Excellent command of the local language of Kaliro District
