Makerere University Business School is going to award 52 inmates from Luzira Prison with Diplomas and Certificates in Entrepreneurship and Small Business management.

These inmates are part of the 1,186 graduates  to be passed out at the 10 graduation ceremony of MUBS on Friday 29th May 2015.

This is the 5th time Makerere University Business School is presenting inmates for the awards.

MUBS started the Luzira University Education programme in 2011 as a Social corporate Responsibility which has encouraged inmates in primary and secondary levels to work harder to reach these higher echelons of education.

“Majority of the Luzira inmates who have graduated on this programme have transformed from being society rejects to becoming useful citizens in the country”, MUBS Principal, Prof. Wasswa Balunywa says.

The 10th Graduation function will be presided over by Makerere University Chancellor, Prof. George Mondo Kagonyera under the theme “creating employment and wealth through agriculture as a business”.
