A total of 296 students are set to graduate with masters, bachelor’s degrees and diplomas at Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mbale University College Campus in eastern Uganda on Friday 27th July 2018.
According to the graduation list, 57% females) while 43% are males.
A total of 21 students (13 females and 8 males) will graduate with first class degrees.
The graduation is part of the second part of UCU’s 19th graduation ceremony and the second in one month having graduated 1,024 students on July 6th, 2018 at the Main Campus in Mukono. It is also the first graduation ceremony at UCU Mbale University College this year.
The graduation ceremony will be presided over by the UCU Chancellor and Archbishop of the Church of Uganda The Most Rev. Stanley Ntagali.
It will be preceded by a Commissioning Service, a formal send-off session at UCU during which graduands are blessed and prayed for before their graduation.
The Rt. Rev. James Nasak, the Bishop of North Karamoja Diocese is the guest preacher at the graduation ceremony.
According to information from the office of the academic registrar, the graduates will walk away with their transcripts after graduation to ease their absorption in the job market.
