20 Awarded Scholarships at Uganda Technology and Management Universityfor PGD Evaluation Course

Twenty candidates have been awarded scholarships for the Blended Learning Postgraduate Course on Evaluation which takes off in October 2014 at Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU).

The awardees beat 82 other candidates to win the grants according to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jude T. Lubega.

The programme is the brainchild of a partnership between UTAMU and Saarland University as well as Government Development Cooperation- GIZ. It is aimed at strengthening capacity in evaluation in both the public and private sectors. The course will combine both face-to face interaction and online study.

Evaluation experts from Saarland University and UTAMU will be instrumental in delivering the course content. UTAMU is mandated to develop and implement two pilot modules, carry out the selection process and conduct face to face interactions.

Prof. Lubega and Prof. Basheka are currently in Germany to deliberate on final implementation strategy with officials from Saarland University and Government Development Cooperation- GIZ.
