Mr. Rachkara Andrew is silent and no more: We shall miss you dearly-R.I.P. Having spent the whole day at the burial of the late Mr. Nyeko Martin Opira with one of my most admired and beloved lecturer then Mr. Rachkara Andrew with whom we sat together right from the beginning of the session to the time of departure.
I nearly boarded his car when returning to town but I only opted for the bus which would bring me right back to campus – Gulu University.
I never believed the former c/p Mr. Okidi Charles Kilama who arrived early today’s morning at my home with tears rolling his chin telling me about the murder of his research supervisor.
RIP the late Mr. Rachkara Andrew, we drove immediately to his home in Pece only to find blood spots on his compound, some remnants of bullets (in two different colors) plus some miss fires that heat a small avocado tree in the compound, the wall as well as his car to, blood spread on the bonnet and all round his small blue car packed on the compound and the other Toyota land cruiser UAT . . . .
To me I imagined he was trying to dodge these heartless murderers in between those cars before they had finally killed him.
We proceeded to Gulu independent Hospital where he was rushed to only to confirm that he was indeed dead. I felt cold, and very afraid even among all the mourners who had filled the hospital compound.
We waited until the postmortem was carried out and we equally went to his parents home in Layibi lacan kwite, a possible place where he might be laid to rest (though am not very sure of it yet). For now I have no words, but dear friends just help me in prayers.
